About DeMarini TOP 96 Academic College Coaches' Clinics
The DeMarini TOP 96 runs several clinics that feature coaches from schools with higher entrance requirements which we call "Academic College Coaches Clinics." These are spread out around the country. These events follow the same format as our regular, regional events.
Format
The format of these clinics is the same as any of our other clinics including:
- Workout/evaluation sessions
- Clinic/instruction sessions
- Games
For a more detailed description of what goes on at our clinics click here.
Who Can Attend
These clinics are open to all players on a first-come first-served basis. However, we do limit the number of players at each position in order to ensure balanced instruction sessions and playing times during the games.
Only Academic Colleges Attending
Virtually all of the coaches working our “Academic College Coaches” clinics come from schools that have entrance requirements rated as either “More Selective” or “Most Selective.”
We list the names and contact information for each of the coaches who will be working on each clinic’s event page. You should contact one of these coaches or check the schools' Web sites to determine the entrance requirements for a particular college.
College Coach Guarantee
Our clinics are unique and offer many advantages over “showcases” and “tournaments.”
- College coaches are guaranteed to attend. We list the names and contact information for each of the coaches who will be working, on each clinic’s event page. You should call or email them to confirm their attendance.
- College coaches will be on the field interacting with players throughout the entire 2-day clinic.
- College coaches will run clinic sessions in small groups just like a college practice.
- Players will receive a written and 1-on-1 evaluation from a college coach along with suggestions for improving his game.
- We only use one field so all coaches will be on hand to observe/evaluate during the workout sessions and games.
